Pulsed Neutron Logging Interpretation

CASED HOLE FORMATION EVALUATION  –Pulsed Neutron Analysis-

The ability to accurately and reliably monitor reservoir conditions is an ongoing challenge for operators and service companies alike. For years, the industry has relied upon systems that employ pulsed neutron technology to measure reservoir fluids behind casing and well tubulars. This technology is applied to monitor fluid contacts in the reservoir, diagnose production problems and to locate bypassed pay zones.

The current reservoir-performance-monitoring technologies are being improved continuously for better reservoir understanding, more-accurate short- and long-term production forecasting, and lower overall operational costs. The industry is becoming more efficient at using existing technologies to improve mature-field performance and surveillance.  New theoretical and experimental models at micro- and nanoscales have been proposed to improve the industry understanding of fluid/formation interaction. Integrated multidisciplinary work flows have been developed to increase the value of reservoir-data monitoring. The current advancements in efficiency and innovation should lead to future successes as market conditions improve.

At BRASS Energy, we can provide evaluation of fluid saturation, porosity, and lithology behind casing.  It can be used with openhole evaluation results to enhance results and monitor fluid contacts in the reservoir.
